Grega Mastnak was born in Ljubljana in Slovenia on 9 June1969. In 1990
he began to study painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was awarded
the Prešern Prize for Students in 1994. After spending some time at FAMU
in Prague and studying at the Department of animated film, he returned
in Slovenia and graduated in 1995, in painting class of professor Emerik
Bernard. In 1988 he completed his post - graduate studies in the class
of professor Gustav Gnamuš. He visited New York in 1999. There he spent
three weeks and got to know the city art studios. At the same year he
published a comic album "Chease after lost rollerskate" in Velenje.
Besides painting Grega Mastnak also strongly devotes himself to illustration,
strip and animated films. He works as a free lance artist in Ljubljana.
